Started at Mile Marker 0 on the General Hitchcock Highway!
0720: ~4 miles in and joined by a pacer! Our mobile aid station decorated to raise awareness for Cure RTD and 1 Day for the K.I.A.
During the steepest portions, I resorted my strategy of ".2 on, .1 off." That is .2 miles jogging and then .1 miles of walking - both at a long term sustainable pace.
Shea drove our moving aid station up 3 miles at a time. Then, Ben and I would run up to the vehicle.Â
Nutrition included: Salad, Goldfish, Payday bars, Gatorade, Water.
The section of the highway after Windy Point runs along the ridge, allowing views in both directions!
